The 0.8mm Espresso Puck Screen sits between the coffee puck and the shower screen, distributing water evenly across the full puck surface before extraction begins. Fine 0.15mm precision-etched pores spread the water flow, reduce channelling, and keep spent grounds off the group head shower screen — which means less backflushing and a cleaner machine over time.

At 0.8mm thickness it’s slim enough to fit in any standard basket without reducing usable headspace. SUS304 stainless steel, reusable, and compatible with Cafiza for deep cleaning when needed.

Universal vs. Empty Middle — Which One?

• Universal — full-mesh screen with 0.15mm pores across the entire surface. The standard choice for most espresso setups. Maximises water distribution across the full puck diameter. Use this if you’re not sure which to choose.
• Empty Middle — perforated ring only; the centre is open with no mesh. Designed for use with bottomless portafilters where you want to observe the extraction through the open centre without the mesh obscuring the view. Also used by baristas who prefer the water to hit the puck centre directly before spreading through the ring.
