The Black Edition Calibrated Tamper V3 is a constant-force tamper with a dual-spring system: the primary spring is calibrated at 30 lb — press until it clicks, every tamp is 30 lb. The secondary spring is an anti-tilt mechanism that catches uneven force distribution before it reaches the puck — if your hand angle drifts during the press, the secondary spring corrects the load rather than letting an off-axis force transfer into the grounds. The base is titanium-plated for a matte black finish that sets this tamper apart from the stainless silver finish on every other tamper in the catalog.
