✅ 30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee — Arrived damaged, wrong, or defective? We'll replace it or refund you, no hassle.
Fresh-ground coffee, wherever you’re brewing
The TIMEMORE Chestnut C3S is a manual coffee grinder with stainless steel S2C conical burrs, adjustable grind size, and a 25g bean capacity. Its black metal body and compact design make it a practical option for a home pour-over setup, a travel bag, or coffee at camp.
If you’re moving from pre-ground coffee to whole beans, a hand grinder is a straightforward place to start. Measure your beans, grind just before brewing, and adjust the grind to suit your recipe. No outlet, no charging, and no extra appliance taking up permanent counter space. You do supply the turning power, which is part of the trade.
What makes the C3S useful?
- Stainless steel S2C conical burrs: The burrs grind beans between shaped cutting surfaces rather than chopping them with a spinning blade. S2C is TIMEMORE’s burr design, built around cutting the beans before further grinding them.
- Adjustable grind size: Change the distance between the burrs to produce finer or coarser grounds. That lets you work toward the setting your brewer and beans need instead of accepting one fixed grind.
- 25g bean capacity: Suited to smaller brewing doses. For a recipe that calls for more than 25g, grind in batches rather than overfilling it.
- Metal construction: An aluminum alloy body surrounds the grinding mechanism, with a textured exterior that helps you keep your grip while turning the handle.
- Bearing-supported movement: Supports the shaft as you turn the crank for controlled hand grinding.
- Compact grip: The body is approximately 52mm across, making it easy to fit into a small coffee setup.
Who is this grinder for?
The C3S makes sense if you brew smaller amounts and enjoy having a little more involvement in your coffee. At home, it can be the step between weighing your beans and heating your kettle. On a trip, it lets you take whole beans along without depending on an electric grinder.
For several large brews back to back, grinding by hand means more work. If you want to push a button and grind a big batch, an electric grinder is the more convenient route. This one is about a compact setup and a hands-on routine.
Getting your grind dialed in
Start with the grind guidance for your brewer and the C3S instructions. Keep your coffee dose and water amount consistent, then change the grind a little at a time. With pour-over, grounds that are too fine can slow the drawdown; grounds that are too coarse can let the water run through too quickly. Taste the cup before making the next adjustment.
Once you find a setting you like, note it along with your recipe. That gives you somewhere useful to start the next morning instead of guessing again.
