Grown at 1,000–1,800 meters, the beans develop high acidity and natural sweetness at elevation, then the dark roast draws out the body depth and the subtle oils that define the cup character. Natural sweetness leads, dark chocolate depth runs through the middle, and the finish has a distinctive resinous, aromatic quality — what the description calls “myrrh essence,” meaning a slightly bitter, balsamic, lingering finish note that evokes the actual substance without being added flavoring. It’s an unusual and memorable tasting note in a dark roast.
