LilyDrip COS — Costas of Sweden Ceramic Pour-Over Insert
The COS is a slow-flow ceramic insert for V60-style and compatible cone drippers, developed in collaboration with Costas of Sweden. It sits in the base of the dripper and slows drawdown rate, extending the contact time between water and coffee bed for more thorough extraction.
Slow flow means the water dwells longer in the grounds before draining — which tends to produce a fuller-bodied, more extracted cup. Like the LilyDrip 66, the COS is best suited to light roasts that benefit from extended extraction to fully develop their flavor. The difference between COS and 66 is design origin and aesthetics rather than dramatically different flow mechanics — both are in the slower-flow range of the LilyDrip lineup.
If you want faster drawdown and a lighter, more clarity-forward cup, that’s the Starflower. The Original sits in the middle. COS and 66 are the slower end of the lineup.
