Altura isn't trying to be complicated. It's a classic Colombian medium roast sourced directly from the Guadalupe Gold Farm — grown at altitude where thinner air and cooler temps force the bean to develop slowly, producing denser, more concentrated flavor than anything grown at lower elevation. The result is a cup that's balanced, sweet, and smooth without ever being boring.

Colombia's high-altitude growing conditions, dual harvest seasons, and heirloom variety mix (Castillo, Caturra, Colombia) consistently produce some of the most naturally balanced, approachable cups in specialty coffee. Altura sources specifically from the Guadalupe Gold Farm at elevation — denser beans, more concentrated flavor, cleaner finish than lower-grown alternatives.

Brew It Any Way You Like

• Drip — Balanced and smooth at any strength. This is its home.
• Pour-Over — The caramel and malt sweetness sing with a clean 30-second bloom.
• French Press — Full immersion brings out the nutty warmth and malt finish fully.
• Espresso — Pulls a sweet, balanced shot. A natural latte base — no added sweetener needed.
• Cold Brew — Caramel and malt translate beautifully cold. Low bitterness at any concentration. Coarse grind, 12–14 hours.

Our Favorite Clever Dripper Recipe

This is how we actually brew it. Simple, repeatable, and it pulls every bit of sweetness out of Altura.

• Coffee: 20g, ground medium
• Bloom: Pour just enough water to saturate the grounds and create the puff. Let it sit for about 35 seconds.
• Fill: Slowly add the rest of the water until you reach about 280g total.
• Steep: Let it rest for just over 2 minutes.
• Drop: Set it on your cup and let it drain which should take just about a minute. That's it.
