Prefer a fuller-bodied AeroPress coffee and one less paper filter to throw away? The AeroPress Standard stainless steel reusable filter lets coffee oils pass into your cup while filtering out grounds. Brew, rinse, and use it again.
This is a filter upgrade for a brewer you already own, not a coffee maker. Made from 316 stainless steel, it’s a practical option for daily brewing or packing with your AeroPress for a trip.
How does a metal filter change the coffee?
A stainless steel filter lets more coffee oils through than paper, giving the cup a fuller body. If you prefer paper-filtered coffee’s lighter, cleaner texture, paper may still be your better choice. I’d choose this for the different cup texture and reusability, not because metal automatically makes better coffee.
Which AeroPress models does it fit?
This is the Standard-size filter. The listed compatible brewers are AeroPress Original, Clear, Colors, Compact Travel, Complete Travel, and Premium.
If you have an AeroPress XL or Clear XL, choose a filter specifically listed for that larger brewer. Don’t treat this Standard listing as a universal fit, and check your brewer model before ordering.
Do I still need a paper filter?
This reusable filter can take the place of a standard paper filter for metal-filter brewing. It fits inside your compatible AeroPress filter cap. The coffee maker and cap are not included.
How do I use and clean it?
Place the filter in your compatible filter cap and brew according to your AeroPress instructions. After brewing, remove the grounds, rinse the filter, and let it dry before storing. It is also top-rack dishwasher safe. Take care when handling the filter immediately after a hot brew.
