Yama Reusable Metal Mesh Filter for Siphon Coffee Makers - Yama TCA3D

Love your siphon brewer, but want an alternative to cloth filters? The Yama reusable metal mesh filter assembly gives you another way to filter your coffee without keeping a cloth filter in your routine. It's a replacement filtration component for compatible Yama siphon coffee makers, with a 2.5-inch screen and an 8-inch chain.

The useful detail here is how it comes apart. The assembly separates into three pieces, so you can reach the individual components when it's time to clean up. If siphon coffee is something you make regularly, easier access for cleaning is worth paying attention to.

Why choose a reusable mesh filter?

• An alternative to cloth: A metal screen option for brewers who prefer a reusable mesh filtration setup.
• Three-part assembly: Disassembles so you can clean the separate components thoroughly.
• 250-micron screen: The filter is rated at 60 mesh, with 250-micron openings.
• 8-inch chain: Part of the assembly used with the compatible siphon brewer's filter attachment setup.

Check the fit before ordering

The Yama TCA3D is the specifically identified compatible model for this filter. Compare your brewer's model and filter dimensions before choosing a replacement. A 63.5 mm screen diameter is useful information for checking fit, but diameter alone doesn't establish compatibility with a different brewer.

“Siphon” and “syphon” describe the same brewing style. What matters for this part is the brewer model and how its filter assembly attaches, not which spelling appears on the box.

Using it in your coffee routine

Install the assembly according to your compatible Yama brewer's instructions. The screen filters the coffee as it returns to the lower chamber, separating the brewed coffee from the grounds.

When you're finished brewing, let the equipment cool before handling it. Remove the grounds and take advantage of the three-part design to clean the components according to the brewer's care instructions.

If you're switching from cloth to mesh, keep your beans, dose, and brewing routine consistent for your first comparison. That gives you a better starting point for deciding what you enjoy instead of changing everything at once.
