The Starflower is LilyDrip’s original fast-flow ceramic insert for V60-style and compatible cone drippers. It sits in the base of the dripper and shortens drawdown rate, reducing the contact time between water and the coffee bed for lighter, brighter extraction.

Fast flow preserves delicate aromatics and acidity without pushing into over-extraction or bitterness — which makes the Starflower the right pick for light roasts with citrus, floral, or high-toned fruit character. If those notes are what you’re chasing in a coffee, a slower cone setup will mute them. The Starflower lets them through.

The Sakura is the updated version of the Starflower with a revised 5-cut geometry and medium bottom exit. Both are fast-flow; the Starflower is the original design. If you’re deciding between the two, either works — the Sakura is the current-generation model.

Grind note: Fast flow = lighter body. Grind finer if the cup is under-extracted or thin.
