LilyDrip LOTOS — Ceramic Basket Filter Insert for V60 & ORIGAMI
The LOTOS is a ceramic insert that seats inside a V60 or ORIGAMI cone dripper and converts it to a flat-bed extraction setup. You load a standard basket filter into the LOTOS instead of a cone filter — the flat bed distributes water evenly across the entire coffee bed, which reduces channeling and produces more consistent extraction than cone brewing alone.
The practical effect: more even saturation, less over-extraction in the center, and a cup that tends to be fuller and more balanced than the same coffee brewed in a straight cone setup. Fruity, floral, and wine-forward coffees in particular show more clarity and complexity with flat-bed extraction than they do with a fast-draining cone.
Used at the World Brewers Cup and Café de Colombia competitions. Ceramic construction retains heat during the brew and rinses clean. Fits V60 and ORIGAMI drippers; compatible with Hario V60 and ORIGAMI basket filters.
Grind note: Flat-bed flow rate is typically faster than cone. If the cup is too light, grind finer. Adjust from there.
