Set it over a cup or server, add a Wave 185 paper filter and ground coffee, then pour hot water in stages. Its flat bottom and three drainage holes make it an approachable way to learn pour-over without promising that every cup will taste exactly the same.

- Brew size: About 2–4 cups, or roughly 500–700 ml depending on your recipe.
- Filters: Requires Kalita Wave 185 paper filters, sold separately. The smaller Wave 155 and Kalita cone filters are not the same size.
- Build: Stainless steel, made in Japan; approximately 3 inches tall and 4.5 inches wide.
- Care: Listed as dishwasher-safe; let the metal cool after brewing.
