The Hario V60 Switch does something none of the other V60 drippers do: it has a built-in valve at the base that lets you control when the coffee drains. Open the valve and it brews like a standard pour-over — water drips through the grounds and into the server below. Close the valve and it brews like a full immersion method — grounds steep in water the way they would in a Clever Dripper or French press. You can also combine both: steep with the valve closed, then open it to finish with a drawdown through the filter.
This flexibility makes the Switch one of the more versatile single brewers you can own. It’s also forgiving — immersion brewing is less sensitive to grind consistency and pour technique than straight pour-over, which makes it a better entry point for people still dialing in their process.
This set pairs the glass Switch brewer with a 300ml borosilicate beaker server and 40 size-02 white paper filters.

SKU: HARIO_FILTER_W — QTY: 1
Pro Tip
Start with full immersion to build familiarity: close the valve, add grounds (1:15 ratio — e.g., 20g coffee to 300g water), pour all your water, steep 3–4 minutes, then open the valve to drain. Once you’re comfortable, experiment with hybrid brews — steep 2 minutes closed, then open the valve to finish with a slow drawdown. Grind slightly coarser than you would for standard pour-over.
About Hario

They pioneered eco-friendly glassmaking using 100% natural materials and electricity-based melting. Hario expanded into household goods in 1948 and into coffee gear from there — drippers, kettles, grinders, scales, and filters used in specialty cafés worldwide.
