Coffee of the Cross is the unflavored single-origin expression from Guadalupe Farms in the Matagalpa Highlands of Nicaragua — grown at 1,000–1,800 meters on a farm owned by the Diocese of Matagalpa and managed by Guadalupe Roastery. 100% of revenue from this coffee goes back to the farm, supporting apostolic work, economic sustainability, and dignified labor for the farming cooperative. This is the coffee that the entire Guadalupe Roastery mission is built around.
Available in Light, Medium, or Dark Roast. Whole bean or ground. 12oz or 5lb.
The Farm
Guadalupe Farms sits in the Matagalpa Highlands of northern Nicaragua at 1,000–1,800 meters — the same farm that produced the award-winning Shrine Blend (4th place, 2025 Nicaragua Cup of Excellence) and the beans used across the Coffee of the Cross flavored line. Owned by the Diocese of Matagalpa. Every bag of Coffee of the Cross unflavored sends 100% of revenue back to support the farm’s apostolic mission directly.

Light Roast — bright, fruity complexity and natural acidity lead; origin character is most present; baker’s chocolate and black pepper are subtle and clean. Best with pour-over (medium grind, bloom 30 sec)
-
Medium Roast — baker’s chocolate richness, black pepper depth, and bright fruit complexity in equal measure; average acidity, body, and sweetness; approachable for any brew method. Best with drip or pour-over
-
Dark Roast — roast character comes forward; baker’s chocolate deepens, black pepper more pronounced, bright fruit recedes; bold, full-bodied, lower acidity. Best with French press or espresso (black pepper cuts through milk in a latte)

Roaster: Guadalupe Roastery
Coffee of the Cross unflavored is the purest expression of what Guadalupe Farms grows: high-altitude Nicaraguan Arabica with a distinctive black pepper depth and baker’s chocolate richness that you don’t find in most Central American coffees. The 100% revenue-to-farm model is real and documented — this is the coffee where choosing what you drink in the morning has a direct economic line back to apostolic work in Nicaragua. The flavored Coffee of the Cross line (Caramel, Vanilla, Hazelnut, Pumpkin Spice, Dark Chocolate, Rum) uses beans from this same farm.
