If you've got an AeroPress XL, this reusable stainless steel filter is made for it. It swaps in for paper filters and does the same job, keeping grounds out of your cup, without you ever running out. One compatibility note up front, because it matters: this is the XL size, which fits the AeroPress XL and AeroPress Clear XL. The reusable filter also comes in a standard size for the original AeroPress, so double-check you're ordering the one that matches your brewer.
The fine mesh is made from 316-grade stainless steel, a tougher, more corrosion-resistant steel than standard filters, and it keeps grit out even with finely ground coffee. A quick word on taste, since that's the real difference from paper: the metal mesh lets the coffee's natural oils through into the cup, so expect a fuller, richer brew. Paper filters absorb those oils, which is what gives paper its cleaner, crisper cup. Neither is wrong, they're just different. If you like more body, this filter is for you.
Daily use couldn't be simpler: after brewing, rinse it off and let it dry, that's it. It's also top-rack dishwasher safe. And because there's nothing to restock, it travels well, one filter, endless coffees.
