The white Hario V60 01 ceramic coffee dripper is made for 1–2 cups, giving you a compact, hands-on way to make your morning coffee without taking over the counter.

Handmade in Japan from porcelain, this size 01 dripper keeps the setup simple: a paper filter, freshly ground coffee, and a controlled pour. Its white finish fits easily into a coffee corner, but the real appeal is being able to adjust your brewing and learn what brings out the best in your beans.

Why the V60's shape matters

The cone creates a deeper bed of coffee grounds, while spiral ribs give air room to escape between the filter and the dripper. A large single opening at the bottom lets water pass through without a small outlet restricting the flow.

That means grind size and pouring pace matter. You can experiment with how quickly you pour and how finely you grind, then use taste to guide the next brew. No need to change everything at once. Keep a recipe you like, adjust one thing, and see what happens.

Choose the right size

This is the Hario V60 size 01, with a brewing capacity of 1–2 cups. Use Hario size 01 paper filters for the intended fit. It's a practical choice for smaller batches rather than brewing a large pot for a group.

A simple way to get started

Set the dripper securely over a suitable mug or coffee server and fit a size 01 paper filter into the cone.

Rinse the filter with hot water to preheat the ceramic, then discard the rinse water.

Add your ground coffee. A medium-fine grind is a useful starting point; adjust it based on the flow and the taste of your brew.

Pour a little hot water to wet the grounds, pause briefly, then continue with a steady pour. A gooseneck kettle makes the flow easier to control.

Let the coffee finish draining, remove the dripper, and taste. Keep notes on your coffee and water amounts so you can repeat a cup you enjoy.

A scale is helpful for keeping your coffee-to-water ratio consistent. If you're new to pour-over, start with a straightforward recipe and focus on an even pour before trying more elaborate techniques.

Product details

Model: Hario V60, size 01.

Color: white.

Material: porcelain ceramic.

Brewing capacity: 1–2 cups.

Filter compatibility: Hario size 01 paper filters.

Dimensions: 119 mm wide x 100 mm deep x 82 mm high.

Handmade in Japan.

Small brewer, hands-on routine

This is a manual pour-over dripper, not an automatic coffee maker.
