It gives home baristas another way to experiment with flow and extraction without changing the whole espresso setup.

The basket might not get as much attention as your grinder, but it is part of every shot you pull. Its hole pattern influences how water exits the coffee bed, making it worth a closer look when you enjoy dialing in the details.

What makes this basket different?

This basket uses pure titanium rather than the stainless steel found in many espresso baskets. It weighs approximately 32.6g and has an anodized titanium-oxide surface. Choose Black or Silver to suit your setup.

The approximately 0.2mm holes create the exit paths for your espresso. Their size and arrangement are part of the basket’s design, but good distribution, a level tamp, and the right grind still do the heavy lifting. No basket makes puck prep optional.

Check the fit first

This is a 58mm espresso filter basket. Match it to a compatible 58mm portafilter and check basket depth, retaining-spring fit, and clearance before brewing. “58mm” describes the nominal size, not a promise that it fits every handle or machine.

How to get started

Use 18g as your starting dose, then adjust for your coffee and the space available beneath the shower screen. Different beans take up different amounts of room, even at the same weight.

Distribute your grounds evenly and tamp level. Keep the dose and target yield consistent while adjusting your grind, and taste each shot before changing another variable. If the shot runs too quickly, try a little finer. If it stalls, move coarser.

You may need a different grind setting than you used with your previous basket. That is normal. Give yourself a few shots to find the new starting point.

Everyday care

Rinse away grounds after brewing and gently remove coffee oils with a soft cloth or nonabrasive brush. Avoid scraping the surface with metal tools. Keeping the holes clear helps you judge your next shot without yesterday’s residue getting in the way.

Who is it for?

Choose this basket if you have a compatible 58mm portafilter and want to explore a titanium alternative to your current basket. It is a tool for refining your routine, not a guarantee of better espresso. Your coffee, grinder, and technique still matter most.

Note that it takes approximately 9 to 14 days for this product to ship.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0990/6651/1649/files/Sc139594529e14a93af4f290cf37ec53bt.webp?v=1791905864
https://shopcoffeehobby.com/products/cafovo-pb58-1-pure-titanium-58mm-coffee-filter-basket-anodized-1850-holes-0-2mm-for-bottomless-portafilter-basket-universal
